The Douglas Forest Protective Association is conducting live fire training beginning Thursday.

Information from DFPA said it is happening because fuels are dry enough to burn again.

Live fire training is taking place:

*Near the 400 block of Lookout Lane in the Camas Valley area until around 2:00 p.m.

*The 4400 block of Gazley Road in the Myrtle Creek area, with a blanket window until July 10th.
