UMPQUA VALLEY ARTS PRESENTS NEW SERIES OF EXHIBITS

In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Umpqua Valley Arts presents a new series of exhibits opening on Friday.

“Biology Rising: The Origins of Hope”, is a solo exhibition of works by Julie Anderson Bailey that are a visual exploration of earth’s lifecycle and the profound connections between humans, nature, and the evolving relationship with the environment. It is on view in the Hallie Brown Ford Gallery.

Alongside the featured exhibit, four other exhibits will be on display, featuring works by Shawn Edington, Tyler Brumfield, an exhibition of soft sculpture art, and a double feature in the Student Gallery.

The opening reception will run from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with staff remarks at 5:30 p.m.

The exhibits will remain on display through August 15th. Gallery hours are Tuesdays through Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
