Roseburg Police charged a man for fourth-degree assault on Sunday night.

An RPD report said at 10:30 p.m. officers responded to the 1400 block of Northwest Valley View Drive after a caller said there was a disturbance at that location. Upon arrival, officers learned the 22-year-old had arrived at a victim’s apartment to retrieve his belongings. The pair began arguing which led to the man reportedly head-butting the woman, causing a large cut on her temple. The victim was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. The man was taken into custody. He was detained without bail and was released on Tuesday.
