FIRE CREWS RESPOND TO RV FIRE ON SUNDAY IN DILLARD

Crews with Central Douglas Fire & Rescue responded to a reported RV fire on Cobb Street in Dillard just after 8:10 a.m. Sunday morning.

CDF&R Battalion Chief Mark Hernandez said initial crews on scene found a fully involved camp trailer with the fire spreading to a few nearby trees. Hernandez said crews extended hose lines and extinguished and contained the fire to that location. Several other recreational vehicles nearby were saved and sustained no fire damage. Overhead power and communication lines were damaged by the fire. No injuries were reported by the firefighters working at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

CDF&R responded to the incident with 3 engines and 1 command unit. Crews were assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Avista Gaas and Pacific Power.
