CITY OF ROSEBURG WITH OPENINGS ON TWO COMMISSIONS

May 18, 2026 3:20 a.m.

The City of Roseburg has openings on two commissions.

The Planning Commission currently has two vacancies while there is one vacancy on the Homeless Commission.

The Planning Commission meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first Monday of the month in the council chambers. They consider long and short-range land use development issues within the city and the Urban Growth Boundary. The commission reviews and acts on Quasi-Judicial applications filed by landowners and their agents, and on Legislative applications which have been initiated by the city. While some actions are a recommendation forwarded to the city council for final consideration, other decisions are final unless appealed to the city council.

The Homeless Commission meets at 1:15 p.m. on the first Monday of every month in the council chambers to discuss and research current practices related to addressing the needs of the unhoused population. The commission makes recommendations to city council, will review the terms and conditions for contracts and working relationships with private and public agencies regarding services to the unhoused, and receive and consider comments and suggestions from the general public and local businesses regarding homelessness.
