Roseburg Police cited a man for a violation count of prohibited camping early Friday morning.

An RPD report said at 5:00 a.m. officers contacted the 55-year-old sleeping in a tent north of the bike path near the bike jumps in the 500 block of Southeast Stephens Street. The camp was in violation of the place portion of the city’s camping ordinance. The man did not have any prior convictions for camping and he was cited without incident.
