May 13, 2026 4:00 a.m.

Nearly 15 percent of ballots have been turned in for the 2026 Douglas County May Primary Election.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said that 14.95 percent, or 13,503 ballots, had been received as of late Tuesday afternoon. Loomis said that is 0.48 percent ahead of the participation rate for the same point in the 2022 May Primary Election.

Ballots must be cast no later than 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19th.

The Drain City Hall and their ballot drop site are closed Wednesday due to a scheduled power outage. Voters should use an alternative ballot drop site or the U.S. Postal Service during this closure. Drain City Hall and their ballot drop site will resume business on Thursday morning.
