Roseburg Public Library is inviting the public to an event with former wildland firefighter and author Kelly Ramsey at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 4th.
A city release said Ramsey will visit virtually on Zoom and attendees are invited to participate in person at the library, on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. Those interested can also watch on the library’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/roseburglibrary. A Facebook account is not required to participate.
Ramsey is the author of “Wildfire Days: A Woman, A Hotshot Crew and the Burning American West”. It’s a memoir centered on her experience as a wildland firefighter based in Northern California. Her writing has appeared in “The Washington Post”, “Sierra”, “Electric Literature”, and more.
Copies of “Wildfire Days” are available for checkout in the physical format at the library. Digital books and audiobooks are on Libby and CloudLibrary.
