ADAPT WARNS COMMUNITY OF EXECUTIVE IMPERSONATION SCAM

May 7, 2026 3:30 p.m.

Adapt Integrated Health Care has been made aware of an impersonation scam involving fraudulent outreach to community members.

An Adapt release said in the incidents reported, callers fraudulently claimed to be affiliated with the organization and misrepresented one of Adapt’s executive leaders in an apparent attempt to obtain money under false pretenses.

Based on reports received so far, the scam includes false claims regarding an “ankle monitor program” or jail diversion-related treatment opportunity allegedly connected to Adapt, HOPE, Crossroads, and other unrelated program terms. Reported details also include a demand for approximately $900 to be sent through Walmart to “Javionnia Brown and/or “Georgia Friends and Family”, along with use of the phone number 541-805-7146.

The release said Adapt does not request payment through gift cards, Walmart transfers, or other informal payment methods for treatment placement, monitoring programs, or diversion-related services. Any request of this nature will should be treated as fraudulent.

Community members should be especially cautious of unsolicited calls or messages that:

*Claim to be from Adapt or one of its leaders

*Use a mixture of real Adapt program names and inaccurate descriptions

*Pressure individuals to act quickly

*Request money through nonstandard payment methods

*Ask for personal or financial information without official verification

Anyone who receives a suspicious call, text, or message claiming to be from Adapt Integrated Health Care is encouraged to avoid engaging with the sender and report the phone number as spam to their cell phone provider.
