The Glendale School District Board of Directors recently appointed Danny Pratt has the district’s next superintendent, effective July 1st, upon the retirement of current Superintendent Bridget McMillen.

A district release said Pratt was selected following an interview process that included four candidates. As part of that process, candidates toured both the school buildings and community input was offered.

The release said Pratt brings a strong background in educational leadership and classroom instruction. His experience in the classroom has helped shape a student-centered leadership approach and a commitment to supporting teachers and improving instructional outcomes. Pratt currently serves as principal of Lorna Byrne Middle School in the Three Rivers School District, where he previously served as assistant principal. He began his career in education as a high school teacher in the Nyssa School District.

Pratt received a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho, a master’s degree of secondary education from Southern Oregon University and completed the administrator program at Concordia University.

Pratt said, “I’m really excited for the opportunity to join Glendale School District. What stood out to me right away was the pride the community has in its schools and the strong relationships between staff, students and families”. Pratt said, “My first priority as superintendent will be getting to know the people of Glendale and building on the great work that is already happening, while keeping our focus on doing what is best for kids everyday”.

The release said the district extends a sincere appreciation to current Superintendent Bridget McMillen for her dedicated service and lasting contributions to Glendale School District #77.

Glendale School District serves approximately 280 students and is committed to providing educational opportunities that support student success.
