Roseburg Police jailed a man for offensive littering on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 10:30 p.m. officers observed the 78-year-old discarding trash in the area of the 1500 block of Northeast Stephens Street and confronted him. When advised that he needed to clean up his mess, the man allegedly refused and was taken into custody. He was detained on $1,250 bail.
