Roseburg Police jailed a woman on two charges in an alleged forgery case on Thursday.

An RPD report said detectives received information about multiple fraudulent checks being passed in Roseburg that were stolen from outside the area. Detectives located one suspect, a 40-year-old who allegedly passed two of the checks. The woman allegedly had minimal involvement in procuring and creating the computer-generated checks but passed them knowing they were forged.

At 11:00 a.m. Thursday detectives contacted the suspect at a residence in the 200 block of Northwest Sherry Street in Winston. She was charged with second-degree counts of forgery and theft and was detained without bail. The woman was released on Friday.
