A Sutherlin area transient was jailed for a warrant on Monday morning.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 8:30 a.m. a deputy responded to the 200 block of Wilcox Road in the Oakland area after a call came in regarding possible property damage.
A woman said she believed her neighbor had run into the fence on her property with an old school bus. The deputy approached the bus nearby and was met by a 31-year-old. He identified the driver as another man that went by the name “Trent”, but he did not know a last name or have his phone number or any contact information.
A records check came back showing that the 31-year-old had a warrant. It was confirmed and he was taken into custody. Bail was set at $5,000.
