Troopers with Oregon State Police jailed a Washington State man after he was found on near the freeway on Friday.

An OSP report said at 10:10 a.m. a trooper was dispatched for a welfare check on Interstate 5 northbound near the main Cottage Grove exit at milepost 168.5. Upon arrival, the trooper observed the male lying on the median and contacted him. The trooper watched the man walk back into the roadway towards the median when medics arrived on scene. The man was identified as a 45-year-old from Cle Elum. He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and was detained without bail.
