ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CONTINUE, TIE FOR RECORD HIGH LOW

Above normal temperatures continue through Friday in the Umpqua Valley.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the high reached 97 degrees Monday at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That tied June 7th as the third hottest day of the year so far, but was not a record high for the date.

Monday’s overnight low was 68 degrees. That tied the record high low for July 14th, set in 1935.

Highs should cool by several degrees on Tuesday before approaching the triple digits on Wednesday. High temperatures should drop to the mid to upper 80s for several days, beginning on Saturday.
