A Heat Advisory has been extended through Wednesday evening at 8:00 p.m. for central Douglas County and its eastern foothills.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said high temperatures in the mid-90s to around 100 degrees are expected. Low temperatures will mainly be in the upper 50s to mid-60s.
The Advisory area includes Roseburg, Camas Valley, Elkton, Tiller and surrounding areas.
Forecasters said there is an increased chance of heat related illnesses for those without access to cooling facilities. Warm overnight temperatures will limit relief from hot daytime temperatures.
Residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.
