Roseburg Police jailed a man driving under the influence of intoxicants and third-degree assault on Thursday night.

An RPD report said at 8:30 p.m. officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident near the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Rifle Range Road. The woman hit was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center via ambulance.

The 53-year-old driver of a classic vehicle was visibly impaired and consented to standard field sobriety tests and a blood draw. He was detained without bail.
