Sutherlin Police jailed a man Tuesday for a past theft incident.

An SPD report said on June 22nd, a woman had been trespassed from a motel and arranged for her pop-up trailer to be towed by the 44-year-old and two other people. The victim was expecting the trailer to be moved to the parking lot of a business on West Central Avenue, but it was not. The pickup towing the trailer was last seen at 4:00 p.m. that day, leaving Sutherlin, entering Park Hill Lane south.

One of the other people involved in the theft was already arrested. This man, a transient, was located Tuesday and taken into custody. He was charged with first-degree theft and was detained without bail.
