Douglas County Commissioners along with the County Emergency Management Department, the federally assigned Long-Term Recovery Group Glide Revitalization and local impacted cities are helping to support the local United States Small Business Administration team that is assigned to the county for the next several weeks.

The Oregon Department of Emergency Management recently announced that the United States SBA approved Oregon’s request for SBA Administrative Declarations following a gubernatorial declaration of disaster from severe storms, flooding, and mudslides that occurred in several Oregon counties in March and April of this year.

A county release said there is currently a Disaster Loan Outreach Center open in the Salmon Conference Room on the top floor of the Roseburg Public Safety Center on Southeast Douglas Avenue. SBA customer service representatives are on hand to answer questions and assist with the disaster loan application process. No appointments are necessary, and walk-ins are welcome. The center is open on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The SBA is having Community Information Nights for small businesses, private nonprofit organizations, and residents affected by the weather event.

*Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Myrtle Creek Community Center

*Tuesday, June 15th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Drain Civic Center
