A driver was cited following a two-vehicle crash on Friday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said 11:40 a.m. the 71-year-old Roseburg woman was driving westbound in the 2300 block of North Bank Road northeast of Roseburg while a 48-year-old Sutherlin man was headed eastbound in a sedan. The first driver fell asleep at the wheel and her SUV swerved into the other vehicle’s lane, causing the two to crash into each other.

A passenger in the second vehicle suffered some neck and back injuries which were not life threatening. The woman who caused the wreck was cited for careless driving. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
