A Myrtle Creek man was taken to the hospital following a motorcycle accident on Wednesday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 3:30 p.m. a 77-year-old man and a woman were riding their motorcycles eastbound on Northbank Road, heading towards Glide. They had just passed Acorn Drive when they rounded a sharp left curve and saw that an oncoming pickup and trailer were over the center line in their lane. The woman moved to the right and continued. She heard him over their helmet communications system and turned to see that the man was down in the roadway.
He was complaining of pain and had visible injuries. The man had an approved helmet and was property attired. He was transported to the Glide Fire Department and then was flown by REACH Air Ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield.
