Roseburg Police jailed one man and cited three people, following an overnight incident early Sunday.

An RPD report said at 1:40 a.m. officers and deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded after callers said there was a physical disturbance in the parking lot of the former Albertson’s store in the 3000 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. After an investigation, officers determined that a 24-year-old had driven three people to the parking lot. While there, a 22-year-old reportedly fought with one of the other people in the rear parking lot.

After the fight, the 24-year-old allegedly attempted to run over the victim in the fight with his vehicle while leaving the parking lot. There were multiple witnesses. The driver was stopped by deputies nearby but refused to speak with deputies. He was charged with reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person.  Bail was set at #12,500. The man was cited for driving while suspended-violation and driving uninsured.

A 22-year-old was cited for second-degree disorderly conduct. Two of the other people were cited for being minors in possession of alcohol.
