Sutherlin Police jailed a fugitive for a felony warrant early Friday.

An SPD report said just before 1:00 a.m. the 68-year-old was called in at a motel in the 100 block of Myrtle Street. Staff said the transient was making guests uncomfortable and they wanted him to move along.

The man was not a paid guest at the motel. Dispatch advised the man had the warrant for failure to appear. The warrant was confirmed, and the man was taken into custody. Bail was set at $10,000.
