Roseburg Police detained a juvenile and cited a man following a disturbance on Tuesday night.

An RPD report said just after 9:00 p.m. officers responded to a physical disturbance at the Stewart Park pavilion in the 2000 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. The victim, a juvenile, reported that another juvenile male had punched him in the face for no reason. Multiple witnesses confirmed the victim’s account and officers took the suspect into custody. The 17-year-old was allegedly very intoxicated. His probation officer authorized him to be taken to the Juvenile Detention Center for being intoxicated and committing new crimes.

During the investigation, a witness reported there was a second person who possibly threatened numerous people with a firearm. Officers located the man, an 18-year-old from Riddle, and detained him without incident. While he did not have a firearm, the man was reportedly in possession of 1 ounce of marijuana. He was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana and then was released.
