In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
Umpqua Valley Arts presents their 56th annual Summer Arts Festival on June 27th through 29th.
Southern Oregon’s premier celebration of arts and culture will take place in Roseburg’s Fir Grove Park. It draws over 10,000 visitors each year and continues to serve as a vibrant showcase of creativity, community and connection.
The three-day festival features more than 100 local and regional artists offering handcrafted works in all media, from fine art and jewelry to ceramics and textiles. Attendees can enjoy live music and entertainment on two stages, family-friendly experiences in the Youth Zone and indulge in the best of the Pacific Northwest’s culinary scene with a diverse selection of food vendors and craft beverages.
The event raises critical support for the year-round programs at Umpqua Valley Arts, which make art accessible across the region.
UVA Executive Director Monica Stanfield said, “This festival is a true celebration of the abundance of talent we have in the Land of Umpqua and beyond”. Stanfield said, “It’s a one-of-a-kind event that brings our community together while supporting the arts and culture that help shape our creative identity”.
Admission is $5 per person. Festival hours are Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information about the festival, including a full schedule and list of vendors, go to: www.uvarts.com
