A Canyonville woman was cited following a DUII crash on Monday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 3:20 p.m. the 46-year-old was traveling north of Canyonville Riddle Road when her vehicle left the paved portion of the roadway, just before Neet Lane. The vehicle continued along the ditch line until it sideswiped a tree and went up an embankment.

The vehicle rolled multiple times until it came to rest just off Canyonville Riddle Road. The driver was the only occupant and there were no other vehicles involved. The driver was injured and transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. A towing company removed the vehicle.

The driver was interviewed later and admitted to drinking prior to the crash. She consented to standard field sobriety tests which she reportedly performed poorly. The woman was released after being given a citation.
