A driver was transported to the hospital after a log truck overturned early Wednesday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said at 5:45 a.m. the single vehicle rollover crash took place on Highway 42 near milepost 43, west of Camas Valley. The operator of the loaded log truck failed to negotiate a curve causing the eastbound vehicle to crash in the westbound lane. Logs were recovered by a self-loader. The driver was taken to Coquille Valley Hospital for treatment. The log truck was recovered by a towing company.

Highway 42 was closed for a time until enough of the accident scene could be cleaned up. Flaggers directed motorists through the area for part of the morning.
