A transient was jailed on a charge of second-degree criminal mischief early Wednesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s report said shortly after 11:00 p.m. Tuesday a victim came home to his residence in the 24600 block of North Umpqua Highway, in the Idleyld Park area and found an unknown female sitting on a car in his driveway.

He checked his security cameras and found that she had been on his property since at least since at least 9:30 p.m. when she was on camera standing on another car in the driveway. Deputies contacted the woman and all she communicated was nonsense names and stories.
