ROSEBURG POLICE JAILED A MAN FOR SECOND-DEGREE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Roseburg Police jailed a man on the charge of second-degree criminal mischief on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 6:20 a.m. officers witnessed the 36-year-old from Tennessee writing on a metal railing on the Stewart Parkway Bridge in the 2000 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway, with a sharpie. Upon contact, the man admitted to writing on the bridge and claimed it was because he was protesting prostitution.

He was detained on $6,250 bail.
