SUTHERLIN POLICE JAIL TRANSIENT FOR REPORTED DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Sutherlin Police jailed a transient for a reported disorderly conduct incident on Thursday morning.

An SPD report said just after 8:00 a.m. the 31-year-old man was contacted after having stood in the road while making a slashing motion with an object in his hand that was believed to be a knife. The incident took place at the intersection of South Comstock Road and Hospitality Way.

The man was taken into custody and transported to corrections. He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $2,500.
