A Springfield woman was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and resisting arrest on Wednesday afternoon.

An Oregon State Police report said at 1:15 p.m. a trooper stopped a vehicle on the shoulder of Interstate 5 near the Yoncalla/Drain exit. During contact with the sole occupant of the pickup, the trooper developed probable cause to arrest then for DUII.

The 40-year-old was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. The trooper was granted a search warrant for a blood draw. After executing the warrant, the driver was transported to the Douglas County Jail. She was detained without bail.
