A Roseburg man was jailed for a reported harassment incident on Monday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:20 p.m. a caller said there was a disturbance between relatives at a residence in the 2000 block of Old Garden Valley Road. The victim stated that the 55-year-old man had slapped her in the back of the head, prior to leaving.

A deputy located the suspect on the property. The man eventually admitted to slapping the victim. He was charged with harassment and detained him without bail.
