Sutherlin Police charged man for making a false bomb threat on Monday night.

An SPD report said just after 7:40 p.m. a 64-year-old made the report regarding a building in the 800 block of East Central Avenue. Employees evacuated the store and the business next door. Officers blocked off all entrances to both buildings and searched each of them and determined that they were clear.

The man was arrested for first-degree disorderly conduct. He was not cleared to go to jail due to medical issues, so he was given a citation and released.
