Sutherlin Police jailed a man following an alleged disturbance on Sunday night.

An SPD report said at 9:25 p.m. a victim was involved in a physical disturbance 53-year-old Eric Sveum in the 800 block of Northeast Ash Court in Oakland. The victim was able to get away and ran to a nearby neighbor’s house for help. During the altercation, Sveum reportedly pointed a knife at the victim.

The suspect was charged with harassment, menacing, and second-degree disorderly conduct. Sveum was detained without bail.
