A Roseburg man died in a motorcycle versus vehicle crash on Saturday night.

A Roseburg Police Department report said just after 10:40 p.m. officers responded to the wreck in front of the entrance to Wal Mart in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. Fire personnel arrived and performed life saving measures on the driver of the motorcycle, but 19-year-old Zevin Alvarez was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle, a sports car, was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries. He was interviewed at Mercy and admitted to running the red light at the intersection. The man did not show any signs of intoxication.

The investigation into the fatal accident is ongoing, according to RPD.
