A number of events are being held over the weekend to remember the thousands of people who have made the ultimate sacrifice by giving their life for the nation.

In Reedsport:

*The Memorial Weekend Parade will begin on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Reedsport Charter School parking lot.  It will go down Highway 101 to the Hahn Park War Memorial

*The 4th annual Memorial Show and Shine will go from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Hahn Park located at 680 Fir Avenue.

*The War Memorial Ceremony will be held Sunday at Hahn Memorial Park at 3:00 p.m.

*The Veterans Dinner will take place on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, located next to Pacific Auditorium

*A Salute in Remembrance will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Reedsport Masonic Cemetery at 3021 Longwood Drive.

Sutherlin:

*The Sutherlin Lions Club will host a 30-minute ceremony at the Veterans War Memorial at Central Park at 8:45 a.m.

Glide:

*The Glide Veterans Memorial on Highway 138E will hold its 15th annual Memorial Day Tribute on Monday at 9:45 a.m.

Roseburg:

*The annual Memorial Day Tribute will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Roseburg National Cemetery on the Roseburg VA campus.

*Roseburg Memorial Gardens and Wilsons Chapel of the Roses will have their annual Memorial Day Ceremony Monday at 10:00 a.m. The Memorial Gardens are on Northwest Hicks Street, adjacent to Interstate 5.

*Myrtle Creek:

*A drive through the Myrtle Creek and Tri City areas on Monday will include the display of 200 American flags
