Douglas County 4-H, FFA, the Douglas County Livestock Association and the Douglas County Fairgrounds are presenting the 86th annual Lamb Show and Barbecue on Saturday, June 7th at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
The all-day event includes the U.S. Sheep Shearing Championship bringing in competitors from around the country. It will be held in the River Arena.
Confirmation classes will begin the day at 8:00 a.m. followed by the decorator lamb vet check, weigh-in and registration. There will be a wool showcase at 10:00 a.m. 4-H/FFA showmanship takes place at 12;00 p.m.
The Lamb Barbecue runs from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A large plate is $12 with a small plate at $9.
The 4-H/FFA Lamb Auction sponsored by the Roseburg Rotary Club begins at 7:00 p.m.
Other activities will take place as well.
