A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged DUII incident on Friday afternoon.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 2:40 p.m., 19-year-old Riley Stevenson was called in as intoxicated and nodding off at the wheel while his vehicle was parked at a business in the 4300 block of Garden Valley Road.
Firefighters and employees tried to stop Stevenson from leaving. He put his vehicle in reverse and started to move back before firefighters took his keys from him. A deputy said the man had slurred speech, poor balance, and watery eyes. Stevenson performed standard field sobriety tests and allegedly performed very poorly. He provided a blood alcohol sample of .16 percent.
Stevenson was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, driving while suspended and for a probation violation. He was detained without bail.
