Roseburg Police cited a man for unauthorized use of a vehicle on Saturday, following an alleged prior incident.

An RPD report said at 2:00 p.m. the 37-year old met with officers regarding an incident that had occurred on Friday. The man had allegedly stolen a victim’s vehicle from the 500 block of West Harrison Street, crashed it and then fled the scene before he could be contacted.

While talking with police, the man requested to be transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center, due to a severe head injury. He was given a citation before being released to the paramedics.
