Roseburg Police cited a driver after a vehicle versus scooter crash on Friday.

An RPD report said at 2:15 p.m. officers responded to the wreck near the intersection of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard and Northwest Stewart Parkway. After an investigation, officers determined that the motorist had attempted to cross Northwest Garden Valley from the parking lot of a business to another store across the road. He did not see the scooter rider who was traveling southbound in the bicycle lane of Northwest Garden Valley.

The rider attempted to stop but couldn’t and the scooter collided with the front passenger side of the vehicle. The scooter rider was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
