City of Roseburg buildings remain closed Tuesday for the Christmas Holiday and will be closed again next Monday for the New Year’s holiday.
A City release said that means that City Hall, the Public Safety Center, Roseburg Public Library and other city buildings will not be open to the public. The library has been closed since Friday due to carpet cleaning and the holiday. The book-drop bin remains locked and unavailable for material returns until Wednesday.
City Communications Specialist Suzanne Hurt told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the extra closure day Tuesday is due to a negotiated agreement with staff who are provided with a “floating holiday” each year.
