A Jackson County man is missing and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is helping with the search effort.
A Jackson County Sheriff’s Office release said 65-year old John Early of Ashland has been missing since April 30th. Early was last seen east of Ashland in the area of mile marker 26 along Highway 66. Early and a friend were on a camping trip when they became separated while mushroom hunting. Early is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with fair skin, blue eyes and red hair. He was last seen wearing a long john style shirt with a hoodie, jeans and hiking boots.
Search and rescue teams from Josephine, Klamath and Siskiyou counties are also assisting JCSO. Those teams include ATV units, canine units and mounted personnel.
Early does not have a vehicle and does not drive. Anyone with information is asked to contact JCSO at 541-776-7206.
