Roseburg Police jailed a man after an alleged harassment incident on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 8:30 a.m. the 40-year old and a victim were involved in a disturbance in the 1600 block of Southeast Hamilton Street. The man was reportedly upset at another victim and the first victim stepped in between them as they argued.

In the process, the suspect allegedly took a swing at the second victim, but missed and hit the first victim instead. During the altercation, the man reportedly threw his hat, with sunglasses on the brim, at the first victim, hitting him in the face.

The man was charged with two counts of harassment. Bail was set at $2,500.
