The Oregon State University Extension Service and Douglas County Chapter of the Master Gardener Association invite organizations to attend the Seed to Supper Train the Trainer Program on November 20th, from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. at the OSU Extension Auditorium on Southeast Douglas Avenue in Roseburg, next to the courthouse
An Extension release said organizations, community groups, and volunteers are invited to participate in an upcoming Seed to Supper Train-the-Trainer Workshop.
Seed to Supper is a free, research-based beginning gardening program designed to increase food security by teaching participants how to successfully grow their own fruits and vegetables. Through this training, participants will learn how to deliver the Seed to Supper curriculum within their own communities.
The release said this training will prepare staff, volunteers, and community partners to teach the course and support new gardeners in their community. As an added benefit, organizations that host a Seed to Supper program will receive free Seed to Supper participant books to distribute to their class attendees this spring, helping ensure participants have access to high-quality educational materials throughout the program.
This field-based workshop is free; however, registration is requested by November 16th.
To register for the workshop, visit https://beav.es/gJJ or call OSU Extension in Douglas County at 541-672-4461.
