Over 36 percent of local ballots have been turned in for the 2026 Douglas County November General Election, as of Thursday evening.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 32,513 ballots have been received. Loomis said that is 1.74 percentage points ahead of the participation rate at the same point in the 2022 local November General Election.

Election Day is next Tuesday, November 3rd. Ballots must be received by an official drop site or postmarked no later than 8:00 p.m. that day. Voters mailing their ballot on or near Election Day should ask the postal clerk to apply a hand-cancellation stamp to their return envelope. A ballot post marked after November 3rd will not be counted. Voters are encouraged to use any of the 17 official ballot drop sites in Douglas County.
