For Halloween, Umpqua Actors Community Theatre is having two movie screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Betty Long Unruh Theater on Saturday, October 31st at 7:30 p.m. and midnight.
A UACT release said the event is open to community members, 18 years and older. Audiences are encouraged to dress up, but it’s not required. Persons who do dress up could be one of three audience members, per showing, that will win a prize.
For an extra $2, attendees can purchase a prop bag. Prop bags are for certain moments in the movie where emcee’s will direct people to their prop bag, and they can interact with the screening by following the directions on the prop bag card.
UACT has never screened a movie at the theatre. This will be the very first UACT screening on their new LED wall.
Aviva Health’s sponsorship has made tickets available for $5, ticket fee not included. This event will bring adults together to celebrate Halloween with a screening of the largest cult movie musical ever, while paying respects to the iconic Tim Curry.
