Roseburg could see a record high temperature for the date on Friday, staying over fifteen degrees above normal for this part of October.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that a high of 84 degrees is expected.  The record high for October 16th is 82 degrees, set in 2018.

A dry cold front is expected to move in on Saturday, dropping high temperatures for the weekend to the upper 60’s, which is in-line with seasonal norms. A low-pressure system will bring a slight chance of rain on Monday, with highs dropping to below normal for a couple of days.

The mercury reached 85 degrees on Thursday at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That was just shy of the record high temperature for October 15th, which is 87 degrees, set in 2015.
