Pacific Power will match donations to the Oregon Energy Fund 1-for-1, up to $72,000, helping local families keep their homes powered and their budgets on track.

A release from the utility said donations can be sent by mail by using the Oregon Energy Fund envelope in the October bill. Subscribers can make monthly donations by signing up for the fixed donation program and give any amount, starting at $1 per month. Pacific Power matches these donations 1-for-1, as well.

For those who want to donate online or by phone can visit PacificPower.net/Donate or call 1-888-221-7070.

Donations may be tax-deductible and go directly to the Oregon Energy Fund, which confirms eligibility and distributes the funds. Every dollar stays in the donor’s home county, supporting neighbors in their own community.

Pacific Power, its customers and employees, helped 2,601 Oregonians pay their energy bills last year, including 411 seniors, 418 people with disabilities and 869 children.

Anyone who wants support managing their bill can call 1-888-221-7070. Pacific Power representatives can set up a payment plan that fits their needs and connect them with local agencies that offer additional help.
