Douglas County 4-H is partnering with The Studio Arts Connection to host 4-H Pet Portrait Art Day, a creative drawing and painting experience for youth ages 9–11, on Saturday, November 7th.

A release from the OSU extension said these workshops are perfect for youth of all skill levels who want to explore art techniques, build confidence, and create a beautiful portrait of their pet.

The Drawing Your Pet event takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Painting Your Pet is from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The event is open to youth ages 9 to 11 who enjoy art, animals, and hands-on creativity.  It will offer guided instruction, drawing and painting techniques, and a finished pet portrait to take home.

The cost: $25 per class and registration is required. It will take place at the OSU Extension office, on Southeast Douglas Avenue, next to the Douglas County Courthouse in Roseburg. For more information, contact the OSU Extension Service in Douglas County at: 541-672-4461
