The 5th Annual Roseburg Blocktober Fest takes over historic downtown Roseburg this Saturday, October 3rd, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A Blocktober Fest release said the event is free and open to all ages. It will fill Southeast Jackson and Southeast Main streets with live music, family entertainment, kids’ activities, local food and drink, downtown businesses and lots of vendors.

Blocktoberfest will feature bands and other entertainment on two stages. The Community Stage has live local music all day, and the Family Stage features the Umpqua Actors Community Theater, hula, line dancing and more.

Downtown parking is free all day and there will be no parking enforcement downtown during the event.

The Umpqua Valley Farmers Market will open at 11:00 a.m. instead of its usual 9:00 a.m. and will stay open until 4:00 p.m. on the 400 block of Southeast Main Street.

Last year’s festival drew an estimated 5,000 people downtown.

Blocktober Fest is organized by NeighborWorks Umpqua and sponsored by Columbia Bank and Experience Roseburg.
